Bengaluru, Apr 19: Institute of Academic Excellence in Healthcare (IAEHC) - an educational wing of Gunasheela Fertility Centre has announced a 3-day Andrology Workshop – ‘Practical Training in Laboratory and Clinical Aspects of Andrology’ which will be held from 27 to 29 April under the leadership of renowned Andrologist, Dr Ashok Agarwal from the United States.
This training workshop is endorsed by the American Centre for Reproductive Medicine. The workshop is conducted in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bengaluru South and has the accreditation approval from JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru, which is a deemed University.
Training goal:
This clinically oriented interactive course will offer practical lessons and tips on both routine and advanced laboratory tests and procedures for comprehensive, evidence based management of patients with male infertility.
Learning objectives:
1. Medical and surgical advancements in the treatment of male infertility, employing an evidence based medicine.
2. Routine semen analysis and ancillary tests by the WHO fifth edition criteria.
3. Routine and advanced sperm preparation methods used in assisted reproduction
4. Advanced sperm function tests (sperm DNA fragmentation, oxidative stress) and genetic tests.
5. Routine and advanced methods for male fertility preservation for use in ART.
6. Interesting clinical case discussion
