Bahrain, Apr 2: Kannada Sangha Bahrain, a prestigious Kannada organization of Bahrain, re-elected Pradeep Shetty as its president for the year 2018-2019 in its 40th annual general body held in Pappillon Auditorioum recently.
The other members of the newly elected executive committee are D Ramesh (vice president), Kiran Upadyaya (general secretary), Arun Airody (assistant general secretary), Praveen Shetty Kinnigoli (treasurer), Ashok Kumar Kateel (assistant treasurer), Varun Hegde (entertainment secretary), Jagadeesh Jeppu (assistant entertainment secretary), Mahesh Kumar K (sports secretary), Prakash Anchan (committee member), Ayyappa Edaneer (committee member), and Santhosh Acharya (committee member).
Kannada Sangha is stepping into the 41st year of its existence in Bahrain and this year is an important year for Kannada Sangha as it is all set to build Kannada Bhavana in Bahrain. When built, it will be the first Kannada Bhavana on foreign soil.
Pradeep, in his thanksgiving address, mentioned that he is grateful to all the members for their trust and his priority will be commencement of construction of Kannada Bhavan. The formalities including permission from Bahrain government authorities are over. “We have already started to approach people who will financially support our dream project ‘Kannada Bhavana’ and will work hard to achieve the goal,” said Pradeep Shetty.
