Mangaluru: Milagres College organises open house ‘Edu Fair’

Mangaluru, Mar 24: Milagres College, Mangaluru organized ‘Edu Fair 2018’ on March 22, an open house programme for the students of II PUC to give an exposure to the courses offered in the college. Chief Guest Dr P P Devan, professor and head, department of ENT and associate dean, A J Institute of Medical Science Research, inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Principal Fr Michael L Santhumayor, Prof Lourdusamy, Cassin Rodrigues and Preetham Sequeira were present on the dais.

Addressing the students, Dr Devan said, it is important to inculcate those values that are best in the society. To be excellent in any field, one needs to have good Intelligence Quotient (IQ), Emotional Quotient (EQ), Networking Quotient (NQ) and the ability to believe in one self. He also emphasized the significance of English language in acquiring a better job.



Speaking on the occasion Principal Fr Michael Santhumayor welcomed the students and also introduced the different courses offered in the college. Students later visited the various departments such as BSc (Hospitality Science), BSc (Food, Nutrition & Dietetics), BSc (Computer Science, Mathematics & Statistics), and BCom. A live demonstration was given to the students on food and beverage service, food production and front office departments. A variety of cultural programmes was performed to entertain the students and parents those who had gathered.
