Moodbidri, Mar 22: The two men who went missing during a trek in Karinje hills here have been found dead.
Praveen Tauro (32) and Greshion Rodrigues (32) had visited Karinje hill on March 20 and were untraced. Their families had filed a missing complaint after two days.
After an intense search operation by the local police and the forest officials, the bodies of the two men were found among dense shrubbery in Karinje.
It is suspected that they might have got electrocuted by high-tension wires, as their bodies seemed to have sustained burn injuries.

Two men, who had visited Karinje hill located within the municipal limits here on March 20 on a trek, have gone missing. The incident came to be known on Thursday March 22.
The names of the missing men have been given as Praveen Tauro (32) and Greshion (32).
It is said that both of them were to leave for Karinje hill in a red Bolero vehicle bearing registration number KA20 P2462. The family members, who got worried at the fact that the two friends did not return even after two days, conveyed the information to the police.
Teams of local police and Moodbidri forest department have launched a detailed search for them. The Bolero vehicle in question was found parked at the foot of the hill.
Greshion used to operate a service station at Paper Mill within the municipal limits. Praveen has been working as driver of pick-up vehicle.
