Sirsi: Complaint filed over fake FB post in Hegde's name

Sirsi, Mar 12: A complaint was registered on Sunday, March 11 at New Market police station here alleging some miscreants uploaded a fake Facebook post attributed to the Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde.

Suresh Shetty, the personal assistant of Ananth Kumar Hegde, is the complainant.

The post attributes a comment to Hegde that the BJP will replace all Kempegowda statues with those of Shivaji if the party comes to power.

“It is aimed at creating acrimony against Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde among Kannadigas,” says Suresh Shetty in his complaint.

The post, in the name of Manju Power Star, has threatened the minister that he will not be allowed to enter Bengaluru.

    I request voters of KARNATAKA to defeat BJP. They have done nothing for 4 plus years and are distracting us with Pakoda and cow politics. BJP has consistently failed to deliver results. People are suffering while friends of BJP are fleeing the country without hard earned money.

    BJP and its leaders are now getting the taste of their own medicine. This fake accounts, fake shares, fake profiles, posts etc were monopoly of BJP till recently. In fact they are running a factory of 'fake' profiles, posts under the garb of their IT Cell for long. Recent interview of a former member of BJP IT Cell has proved this beyond doubt. They ran this fictitious and malicious 'fake' social media campaign to malign their political opponents and bring BJP to power. But others have caught up with BJP now and they are giving fitting reply in good measure, if not equal measures, to BJP. That which has gone up, should come down. Don't expect harvest when you have sown weeds and not seeds. If you have the audacity to malign others, assassinate their character, be ready to accept when someone does the same thing with you.
