Mangaluru, Mar 9: The Women's Forum of A B Shetty Memorial Institute of Dental Sciences, (ABSMIDS) celebrated International Women’s Day on Thursday, March 8.

Prof Shalini Sharma, professor and head, Counseling, Welfare, Training and Placement, NMAM Institute of Technology delivered a guest lecture on 'Let's Talk Happiness'. Prof Dr Alka Kulkarni, registrar, Nitte Deemed to be University was the chief guest for the programme. Principal and dean, Prof (Dr) U S Krishna Nayak presided over the function. Prof (Dr) Amitha Ramesh, president of Women’s Forum welcomed the gathering and Dr Tripthi Shetty briefed the programme to the audience. Prof (Dr) Darshana Devadiga, secretary of Women’s Forum introduced the resource person and Dr Chethana, joint secretary delivered the vote of thanks.

Prof Shalini Sharma emphasized on the importance of happiness in day today life and highlighted the simple ways everyone can practise in incorporating the elements that can bestow happiness. She stressed on following healthy practices in personal and professional environment to achieve balance in goals of life.
