Mysuru, Dec 9: "We will come to power in the forthcoming elections. The question of hung assembly does not arise," said, chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah.
Speaking to journalists here on Friday, December 9, he continued, "The election results will not be in line with the surveys that have been published by some news channels and private organizations. Election surveys are not 100 percent true. We have also conducted internal survey and know the present status of Congress in the state. However, it is not possible to reveal the details of the survey now. Congress is very strong because it is a secular party. We do not need the help of other parties to defeat the communalists."
CM, who met Member of Parliament Pratap Simha at a function of Vidyavardhaka Engineering College in city poked fun at the beard of Pratap and said, "Why you have grown a beard like Virat Kohli?".
At this juncture, Pratap Simha apprised the chief minister of the issue of a complaint against him filed by Manjula Manasa, former president of state women's commission. In response to this Siddaramaiah told Pratap that he is still young and should not speak in such harsh manner.
