Bengaluru, Oct 13: In connection with the case relating to the drowning of two actors in standing water when shooting the climax scene for a Kannada movie, 'Mastigudi', the high court (HC), which was hearing the case, has reserved its judgement.
The single judge bench of the HC presided over by Justice Aravind Kumar, has completed hearing of a petition filed on behalf of the producer of the film, Sundar Gowda, director, Nagashekhar, stunt director, Ravivarma and two others, seeking to quash the charge sheet filed by the police against them in JMFC court at Ramanagara.
Actors of the movie, Uday and Anil, had jumped into Thippagondanahalli reservoir from helicopter during the shooting of the climax scene of the said movie. Both of them were not trained in swimming. The director, producer and others related to the shooting were accused of not following standard safety measures during the shooting and accordingly, blamed for these two deaths by the police.
