Udupi, Jan 17: The much-anticipated 4th edition of Kasturba Hospital Corporate Cricket League (KH-CCL) 2025 was inaugurated at Manipal with great enthusiasm. Organized by Kasturba Hospital Manipal, the three-day cricket extravaganza is set to witness the participation of 24 teams representing corporate companies, banks, medical associations, and media outlets from various districts of Karnataka.
The inauguration ceremony took place at the Manipal End Point ground, where Dr H S Ballal, pro-chancellor and Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, VSM(Retd), vice chancellor of MAHE, Manipal jointly unveiled the prestigious trophy.
Dr H S Ballal, in his address, emphasized MAHE Manipal's unwavering support for sports and extracurricular activities. He commended Kasturba Hospital for organizing the corporate cricket league as part of their commitment to fostering a holistic development environment within the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Venkatesh remarked that the tournament not only strengthens relationships and provides a refreshing break for employees but also creates opportunities for team members and organizers to exchange ideas and perspectives.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by the presence of prominent personalities, including Dr Raviraj N S, COO, MAHE Manipal. Dr Sharath Kumar Rao, pro-vice chancellor of MAHE, Manipal, C G Muthana, advisor, MAHE, Dr Arun Mayya, dean-MCHP, Dr Padmaraj Hegde, dean-KMC, Dr Anand Venugopal, COO- Teaching Hospitals, MAHE, Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, Manipal, Dr Shiran Shetty, deputy medical superintendent, Sachina Karanth , head- marketing, Dr Kirthinath Ballala, CMO- Dr TMA Pai Rotary Hospital, Karkala and other senior management team members were also present to lend their support.
The cricket tournament promises thrilling matches and friendly competition as it unfolds from January 17 to January 19.
