Mangaluru, Oct 9: A 24-year-old youth has been allegedly kidnapped from Suratkal by a gang in broad daylight.
Safwan (24) who hails from Suratkal was kidnapped on October 7.
It is alleged that Safwan was abducted by a close aide of a notorious criminal named Safwan Hussain, a resident of Koppal.
Sources said that a person identified as Abdul Hameed filed a complaint against Safwan Hussain.
It is said that the victim and the accused had a financial dispute which may have led to the abduction.
Suratkal police have registered a case and formed three teams to trace Safwan.
