Bengaluru soldier shoots himself dead in Jammu & Kashmir

Bengaluru, Oct 9: Narendra from Bengaluru, a soldier currently deployed on duty at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, shot himself dead with the service rifle issued to him in the afternoon on October 8. 

Narendra committed suicide in the army camp at Pahalgam, which is located in Anantnag district of southern Kashmir. Although an injured Narendra was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, his life could not be saved.

A complaint about the unnatural death was filed in the local police station, and the personnel have launched investigation into the suicide.

    Very sad.On foto he looks very young.May be life in Army was not so as he thought and hard,couldnt come home as he wanted. ?must be frustrated and killed himself.Army life is not for everyone.may his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his parents.

    After the statement from our Army Chief. Yesterday, What did the Defense Minister do at Dokhlam, is sufficient to demoralize our soldiers. BJP knows only to politically play with the emotions of the Army (Surgical Strike, Dokhlam standoff etc). Seems like BJP sympathizers are hiding in the rat holes
