Bantwal, Oct 5: “Police should investigate the perceived presence of ISIS terrorists in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district with all seriousness. They should conduct detailed probe about the information that these terrorists, who have confirmed presence in Kerala and Bhatkal, also have set up their base in this district," urged former minister, state BJP general secretary, Bantwal constituency BJP election in-charge and MLA, C T Ravi.

Speaking to media persons after visiting BJP office at B C road on Wednesday October 4, he said that an international terrorist was based in Bhatkal in the past and become notorious. He referred to media reports which have mentioned about the likely presence of suspected terrorist bases in coastal Karnataka and their activities. “Therefore Dakshina Kannada also is not safe from terrorists. I request police department to investigate where these people are getting their training from,” he added.

“A hardcore terrorist had been nabbed from Mangaluru sometime back, and there are discussions about the likely presence of ISIS presence in the district. I am of the strong view that political parties should never sacrifice national interests for the sake of votes and selfish interests. No one should allow anti-social elements and traitors to settle down in the country," he asserted.

Strengthening the organizational structure of the party

“The party has taken all the 224 assembly constituencies in the state seriously. The party will be strengthened in Bantwal constituency by bringing together leaders and activists,” he said.

Earlier in the day, he held meeting of local leaders of the party and held consultations about ways and means to strengthen the base and popularity of the party in preparation for the ensuing assembly election.

Bantwal block BJP leader, Rajesh Naik Ulipadiguthu, BJP block president, Devadas Shetty and former MLA, Rukmaya Poojary, were present. Ravi later held discussions in a hotel at B C Road with party’s local leaders.

Throwing their Trump Card (Terrorism), this time it will work... He is saying some times back police arrested hardcore terrorist from DK but years later that hardcore terrorist released because police could not prove their guilty.. I would like mention what the world media projects Muslims, recent Las Vegas shootings- police told that the shooter is Mental Disturbed because he was not practising muslim (although the IS claimed responsibility), this is what the media projects.
CT Ravi like minister should concentrate on improvement of his constitution or his people. I dont we need some leader from outside to "fire up" DK because we have our own FIRE BRANDS here!!
