While this move has given rise to concerns among owners of buffaloes, organizers of Kambalas and Kambala fans, district president of Kambala Samiti, Barkur Shantaram Shetty, expressed the confidence that the Supreme Court might not agree to issue stay order against holding of Kambala, in the light of the fact that it had not agreed to stay Jallikattu sport in Tamil Nadu when PETA approached SC, duly objecting to the ordinance issued to allow that sport to be held.
