Mangaluru: Banks closed for five consecutive days - get urgent work done early

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Sep 22: During the ensuing week, banks will remain closed on account of continuous holidays. People who have urgent work to be got done in the bank, it would be in their interests to rush to banks now rather than repenting later.

September 28 happens to be a restricted holiday. The next day is holiday on account of Ayudha Puja. September 30 also is a holiday for Vijayadashami. October 1 is Sunday and the banks are closed the next day too because of Gandhi Jayanti.

Closure of banks for five days in a line is likely to result in shortage of cash in ATMs.

Clearance of cheques and deposit of cash will not be possible during the holidays. Therefore, it would be wiser for the customers to plan in advance and take preemptive steps beforehand rather than having to handle crisis.

They have 3 days holidays, there is a Sunday in between.
That is no fault of Bankers. Forgot all their sacrifices during demonetization, public memory is so very short.

Sacrifices? Entire chaos after demonetization was due to dishonest bankers who made crores swapping old notes, while common people were made to suffer. Hope there is a forensic audit done on bank books during the months after notebandi to being them to justice....
