Bengaluru, Sep 20: Police have arrested three suspects in connection with a half burnt dead body of a man found in Gummanahalli forests, Doddabelamangala police station limits.
The dead man is identified as Ashok (22), resident of Jarabandanahalli, Gauribidanooru taluk.
CPI G Siddaraju has said that three more suspects are absconding.
Mamatha, R C Akkayyamma and H R Shobha, residents of Doddaballapur are the women who have been arrested.
Ashok had an illicit relationship with Mamatha and was harassing her.
The suspects have confessed during investigations that they killed Ashok by tightening veil around his throat as Mamatha was tired of Ashok’s harassment.
They had taken the dead body to Gummanahalli forest and set it on fire after pouring petrol on it.
The investigating team formed under the guidance of SP Amith Singh has arrested the suspects within five days after the incident. The vehicle driver had given a clue about the murder.
When the dead body was found, police did not know the identity of the person. It was found out later after investigations.
