Udupi, Sep 18: Speaking to media persons here on Monday September 18, MP, Shobha Karandlaje, said that Yeddyurappa has been receiving offers from various north Karnataka districts to contest the next election from there. He is yet to decide on the issue, she clarified.
Yeddyurappa
“Shivamogga being his home district and the constituency close to his heart, he is not very much inclined to shift out of there. He is in two minds about the election. There is no doubt about the fact that irrespective of which constituency he chooses, his victory with a wide margin is a foregone conclusion," she claimed.
Siddaramaiah
Speaking about chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, Karandlaje said that he has no other option but to change his constituency. She predicted his defeat, saying that Varuna constituency has already slipped out of CM's hands. "Siddaramaiah has been busy mustering support in Chamundeshwari constituency too. He has no choice but to face utter defeat," she predicted.
K J George
On the demand made by BJP seeking minister, K J George's resignation over suicide by IPS officer, M K Ganapati, she said that this government is thick-skinned and that no one has the good sense to hear genuine cries for justice. She pointed out that the Supreme Court has reprimanded the concerned. She accused the government of concealing evidence and executing a plan to close the case by misusing criminal investigation department officials. She said majority of files have been deleted, and that CID officials have been threatening people connected with the case including relatives of Ganapati. She said that it is crystal clear that the CM and George are behind this case.
