Mangaluru, Sep 18: In a statement, Dakshina Kannada (DK) district unit of BJP strongly condemned those behind a conspiracy to drag the name of Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji, who has been engrossed in acheiving the resurgence of Hinduism in his own way, instead of catching hold of real culprits behind the murder of Gauri Lankesh.
"Hindu organizations are being blamed without basis or proof for the murder of Gauri Lankesh. Every day a new twist is being given to the case. Now, instead of nabbing the actual people who committed this murder, as part of a clandestine plan, an attempt is being made to point fingers at Sri Raghaveshwara Swamiji. A civilized society cannot approve such things, and will not tolerate them," warned district BJP president, Sanjeev Matandoor, in a statement.
He said that the sources investigating Gauri's death had admitted that finger of suspicion in the case points towards involvement of naxals. Reports have been alleging that the kind of pistol used for the murder of the said journalist is reaching underworld and anti-social elements through the naxal corridor. Therefore, BJP strongly objects to the attempt being made to put forward Swamiji's name just because some people want to settle their personal scores against The Swamiji, he added.
