Kundapur: Country fishing boat oscillates in waves - fisherman falls into sea, dies

Kundapur, Sep 11: A fisherman in a country boat fell in the sea and died as the boat oscillated due to pressure of waves at Kundapur Kodi Light House on Monday, September 11.

Chandra Poojary (46) from Kodi Light House is the person deceased.

Chandra had gone for fishing with others on Monday. As the boat covered a distance of 200 meters, a huge wave hit the boat. Chandra Poojary lost balance at that time and fell in the sea.

Other fishermen in the boat tried to rescue Chandra but he had died by then.

Kundapur police arrived at the spot, conducted investigations and registered a case.

    Very Sad.

    Please if you don't have any knowledge about these small boats , don't comment blindly.

    There are several hightech Mechanized boats are there in Karnataka Karavali too.

    Everyone can't afford the cost., Even such big boat sometimes meet accidents.

    The poor people who can't afford the cost or can't work long hours are using this small boat. Even this boat have a mechanised Engine.

    It is not easy to to work in Sea , due to bad weather any time any thing may happen.

    Invite Japanese cos like YANMAR....
    and other big brands. to start set up Boat building/manufacturing state of art best boats on the coast of karnataka.
    small..medium and large crafts.fully fitted with best technology for fishing..
