KSTDC’s Dasara Special Tour Package on Golden Chariot from Sept 23

Bengaluru, Sep 9: Karnataka’s Department of Tourism through the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) has planned to launch “Dasara Special Tour Package” in Golden Chariot Luxury Train to promote the state festival from September 23.

Minister for ITBT and Tourism Priyank Kharge said the “Dasara Special Tour Package” would provide an excellent opportunity to people to experience royalty on board, which would showcase the Dasara and its grandeur.

The trips include two nights and a day package on affordable and subsided rates.

Golden Chariot train has 44 luxury cabins which can accommodate 88 people.

The two nights and one day package is priced at Rs 25,000 per person for Indians and Rs 40, 000 for foreigners, says an official press release.

The package is inclusive of accommodation, meals, sight-seeing and Mysuru Palace events.

The first trip will from September 23 to 25 and the second will be from September 29 to October 1.

The train will depart from Yeshwantpur railway station in the night on the first day of journey to Mysuru and back to Bengaluru on the third day early morning.

    I disagree with the different charges for Indians vs Foreign citizens. Imagine if Indians were charged $80 at Disneyworld in Florida , but US natives were only charged $50.. How many would go.
