Beltangady: Group attacks two youths meeting girl students

Beltangady, Sep 4 : Two youths from Chikkamagaluru who had come to a college to meet two girl students, were attacked by a group here on Saturday, September 2.

Mohammed Unais (19) and Yusuf (20) are the victims.

Unais and Yusuf had come on a bike here to meet two female students from a college who belong to different community. When the four were seen at the bus stand clicking the photographs, a group of youngsters arrived there and assaulted Unais and Yusuf, it is gathered.

The video footage of the incident was circulated on social media later. When police came to know about this, they took two men into custody on assault charge.

The victims did not lodge any complaint and returned to Chikkamagaluru. It is said that they have been asked to file a police complaint.

    They come from Chikmangaluru just to meet female friends that too from other community? dal me kuch kala he..seems to be love jihad case..if they were genuine why they denied to lodge a complaint? and ran back to Chikmagalur?

    Why can't a girl and a boy talk in mangalore ? What is wrong in it ? No matter whatever the caste/religion/race/gender he or she may be. Everyone has the right to speak. And no one is above the law for taking action without and right/power from the police. Never judge anyone by their religion we all are born indian. If this is contuining further ,india will never change and the youths or youngsters will keep on attacking people or even the citizen's in the sake of religion. Lets all take things in a postive way and maintain peace and love with everyone. And then we can see everything better.

    Who are they to attack youths/ Whether they have been given any power by the police to attack anyone? Let them report the matter to the nearest police station.Its too much . it is none of their business to attack like this. What vested interest these attackers have got? Arrest them and punish.
