Puttur: Minor girl eve- teased on road, injured - Locals thrash culprits

Puttur, Jul 24: A 15 year old girl was eve- teased by two youngsters on Sunday, July 23. Before the police arrested the culprits, the locals locked them in a room and thrashed them.

The incident happened at Ilanthila near Uppinangadi. Praveen and Ganesh are the accused.

As per details available, the girl was walking on the road when the youngsters came on a bike. They pulled her shawl and teased her. She somehow managed to run away from them. But as she fell on the road, she was injured. After first aid, she was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

When the people heard about the incident, they caught the accused and manhandled them. It is said that they have been admitted in a hospital for treatment.

Uppinangadi police have registered a case. Some sources said that both the accused are minors.

    It looks sex crimes are increasing now a days? Whats the root cause? People have lost their mind and do not have moral values. The youngsters now a days have no moral values in them. Its high time elders and social workers work hard for the education of youngsters regarding moral ethical values in our society. Unless we do that many girls will pray to molestation either physcially or morally. We must act before everything goes astray.
