Mangaluru: Suicide by beautician evokes attack, counter attack

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Jan 11: Relating to the incident in which Madhushree (21), who was working in the city as a beautician, committed suicide late night on Saturday by hanging herself at her home, two gangs attacked each other on Monday January 10 night. Relating to these incidents, four persons, identified as Sunil, Vishwanath, Pavan and Suraj, were admitted into hospitals with injuries.

It is learnt that the name of Suraj was found written on the victim's hand, but her parents had not filed any complaint against him with the police. When Suraj visited a shop at Santosh Nagar here on Monday night, Sunil, Vishwanath and Pavan from Pandith House reportedly  attacked him. Suraj sustained serious injury to his head.

Turning livid at this attack, friends of Suraj launched a counter attack against the above persons the same night, it is said.

It is being claimed that the police are finding it hard to make any headway in the investigation in the case as the girl had not recorded the cellphone number of Suraj, whose name was found written on her hand. The attacks seem to have been fuelled by pre-existing enmity, sources added. Cases about these attacks were registered in Ullal police station.
