Muscat, Jan 17: The Mangalorean Catholic Center of the Parish, (MCCP, Sts. Peter & Paul Church – Ruwi), will be organizing the annual Volleyball and Throw ball tournament for its members on Friday, January 18.  The venue for the tournaments is the Muscat sports club grounds at Al Wadi Al Kabir, Ruwi.   

MCCP - Sports and finance committee's current main coordinator Valerian Dantis, has shown great enthusiasm in planning and organizing these fun-filled tournaments. His team, the sports committee members are working very hard to organize an exciting and thrilling tournament for the members. “We have an entirely different and beautiful venue this time, for our tournaments,” informed Valerian Dantis.

Members will have easy access to the venue. Moreover, we are going to have a fun-filled tournament with lots of prizes and surprises. Members will be delighted with the attractive spot prizes,” he added. 

The volleyball tournament will be for all registered male members, while the throwball tournament will be exclusively for ladies. As confirmed by Valerian Dantis, the registration for the volleyball tournament will commence from 12 noon, followed by registration for the throw ball event. Dantis has also made a specific request to all the members to attend bang on time, so that all will have a fair chance at winning exciting spot prizes.

Valerian Dantis is greatly supported and assisted in this endeavor of planning and organizing the tournament by diverse group of people like Suraj Rebello, a dynamic sports personality of the Mangalorean community, Sunitha Nazreth and Nora Cynthia Vaz both active committee members and Monica Dantis, a lady of who commands great respect. As usual the community’s beloved Dattu, Stanley T H Fernandes, the current president of MCCP is rendering his guidance whenever and wherever required.
