Lille (France), June 20 (IANS): France midfielder Paul Pogba who did not have the best of starts in Euro 2016, said he is not interested in answering the critics.
Pogba has received flak for his dull performances in the first two matches of the group stage. But it was a much improved display from the Juventus man in their goalless draw against Switzerland in their third and final group game on Sunday evening.
The point gained from the stalemate helped France to stay on top of Group A and qualify for a berth in the last 16.
"The critics? I have no answer to give to anyone," Pogba told BeIN Sports after Sunday's game.
"I play football, I play for the team. It will be talked about, good or bad," he added.
"We had opportunities to win but in the end, we take a point. We are happy to be first. The adventure goes on."
Pogba said even though he was playing higher up the pitch from the start on Sunday, he was forced to stay back when Switzerland pressed upfront in numbers.
"Early in the game, I started high up the field and we were fine. Then they had more space and suddenly I was forced to stay back," he remarked.
