Ajax FC sign Colombian striker Cassierra

The Hague, June 18 (IANS): Dutch football club Ajax have announced the signing of Colombian forward Mateo Cassierra from Deportivo Cali FC.

Cassierra, who scored 17 goals in 59 matches for his former club, signed a contact for five years in Amsterdam on Friday, reports Xinhua.

The transfer fee was not made known, but according to Dutch national broadcaster NOS it is around 5.5 million euros ($ 6.2 million).

Feyenoord also brought in a new striker. The Rotterdam-based giants signed the 25-year-old Danish international Nicolai Jorgensen from FC Kopenhagen for a reported fee of 3.5 million euros.
