Mumbai, Sep 29: First things first — has she really broken up with Shahid Kapoor?
Kareena Kapoor apparently still wants to beat around the bush about that one. “Ah! Don’t ask me about that. I don’t want to say anything.”
Right now, her concentration is on the buildup to Yashraj’s ‘Tasshan’, which has her opposite Saif Ali Khan. All the better for the film that she’s being linked to him these days, na?
On the same topic, the ‘grapevine’ has now gone ahead to suggest that the vegetarian Kareena is finding solace in non-vegetarian food and has even given up her yoga regime. But this is something she won’t let pass.
“I follow the principles of the Radha Soami faith — I am a strict vegetarian and do not even have eggs,” she counters.
“I have been working very hard on my body for ‘Tasshan’. I play a sexy character and hence I have to follow a strict yoga regime. In fact yoga has just not helped me lose weight, I feel extremely fit now."
"Also I feel so much happier and calm. I used to be quite impulsive and rash earlier. And this has also made my family happy.”
But some people feel she’s working so hard on her body that she's started looking almost skinny.
“I don’t look skinny at all. I am just fine. But I am happy that people are noticing the change and talking about it. That’s a good sign,” she says.
In fact, Kareena, who’s quite fond of good food, admits she’s having a tough time sticking to the ‘right diet’.
“I am a big foodie - I just love sweets, burgers, French fries and all the wrong things. I can have around six to seven gulab jamuns at one go. You could say my appetite is almost like a man’s.”
And that means all the more effort to keep within the straight and narrow. Though she does give herself a break once in a while.
“On my holidays, I dig into everything unhealthy,” she grins.
