Rome, Jan 22 (IANS): Serie A announced that coach of Italian football club Napoli Maurizio Sarri has been suspended for two matches in Coppa Italia due to his discriminatory speech against homoeroticism in public. He was also fined 20,000 euros.
In the Coppa Italia quarterfinal against Inter Milan on Thursday, Sarri ran into a bitter quarrel with Inter's manager Roberto Mancini. It is reported that Sarri used certain words which convey discrimination against homoeroticism, reports Xinhua.
The Italian press reported that Sarri might be suspended for four months.
Mancini was also fined 5,000 euros for verbal attack on Sarri and disrespect for the fourth official.
