Valencia, Dec 20 (IANS): Gary Neville is still searching for his first league win as Valencia coach as his side was held to a 2-2 draw in the Mestalla Stadium against lowly Getafe.
The result allows Valencia to maintain their unbeaten home record for 2015, but home fans were expecting more in the wake of last weekend's fortunate 1-1 draw away to Eibar, reports Xinhua.
All the goals came in the first 35 minutes and Valencia had to twice come from behind as Pablo Sarabia opened the scoring after 10 minutes for the visitors on Saturday.
That goal was soon cancelled out by a typically smart Paco Alcacer strike, but Angel Lafita soon put the visitors back in front only for Santi Mina to once again bring Valencia level.
Meanwhile, the Seville derby between Real Betis and Sevilla produced plenty of fouls and 12 yellow cards but no goals as the bitter local rivals played out a bruising draw.
Felipe Caicedo's fifth league goal of the campaign gave Constantin Galca a win on his league debut as Espanyol coach as the Barcelona based outfit defeated Las Palmas 1-0.
A much improved second half display from Espanyol gave them the win after a dull first half.
