Aug 23: Actor Sanjay Dutt was released from Pune's Yerwada jail on Thursday morning at 7:16 am. Dutt was sentenced to 6 years in prison under the Arms Act by the TADA court.

Dutt has been released on interim bail granted by the Supreme Court. Yusuf Naulwala, Dutt's co-accused was also released with Dutt.

An unshaven and bald Dutt left the jail premises waving to the media. He is expected to reach Mumbai soon.
