  • He didn’t notice the tricolour flying high after sunset at an Indore function, where he was inaugurating a showroom

Indore, Aug 22: The Youth Congress wing of Indore is likely to file a case against actor Aamir Khan for insulting the national flag. The actor, who was in Indore on the night of August 16 to inaugurate a car showroom at Fortune Landmark mall, did not pay attention to the fact that the national flag was flying high, and not at half mast, as it should be after sunset.

“He did not pay attention to the national flag,” said Abhay Dubey, spokesperson for the Indore Congress. Youth Congress members objected to the actor’s negligence and even protested against him.

Said an eyewitness, “The actor showed up at around 10 pm at the Fortune Landmark showroom. He seemed to be in a hurry to finish with the ribbon-cutting of the showroom. All of us standing there could see the national flag flying high. According to the Constitution, the national flag should be at half-mast after sundown. Aamir Khan is an intelligent man. He should have taken note of it.”

“The Youth Congress wing of Indore booed the actor and even showed him black flags as a sign of protest,” added Dubey. “The police even hauled up the Congressmen who were holding black flags and shouting slogans against the actor. They also lodged a case against the protesters.”

The Youth Congress wing members are a bunch of morons with no sense of proportion. How is Aamir Khan, who had come to inaugurate the car showroom for a short while, to be blamed? They should haul up the organisers who have put up the flag. Instead of pointing fingers at others why cannot the Congress Party set their own house in order? As most of their cadre who have interaction with the public and the power to grant or dispense favours, they should set their own house in order.

Instead of plotting the protest and complaints, if these youth congress wing members had pointed out the mistake before opening ceremony, the insult to national flag could have been prevented

Was he in-charge of the flag? is he the owner of the car showroom? these protesters need to be given employment by the government, so instead of wasting their lives with such issues, they are productive and contribute to this planet.

Why blame Amir for this. As per article , youth Congress people noticed the indian flag in unappropriate position. If they are true devotees, why dont they themselves raised the issue right there and get our flag in a position as it should be, at that time. Why playing a blame game.

Check the below statemenr. All of us standing there could see the national flag flying high Then how only Aamir is guilty? I remember a couple of months back my dad (an ex servicemen in Indian army) during his visit to Kuwait noticed Indian flag flying high during night in Indian embassy and asked me the same question.

I was unaware of the issue till date. How a normal Indian can be aware of such things? If they are real patriots, they would have suggested the person who is responsible for flying the flag high. Not a visitor to the location. MERA BHARATH KA POLITICS MAHAAN

This is something rediculous, if Aaamir Khan did not notice this, youth congressmen also Indians, being an Indian it is everbody's duty to respect the National Flag. Why couldn't they do it. Before pointing out the fingers to others try to correct yourself first, then the whole country will go in a right way.

Are these future congressmen doesn't have any other work other than boasting about their fake love for the country? If given a chance these people won't hesitate to sell India. How many of those know Janaganamana or our freedom fighters?

Instead of working for the welfare of the people these crooks give more importance to those causes which makes them to think that they are Heroes infact they are Zeros. Goan Politics is the best example for this. How these elected representatives jumping like monkeys from one party to another.
