Mangaluru, Sep 7: Muhurat for Tulu movie, 'Marnemi', which is being produced by Sri Kateel Durgaparameshwari Films and Trisha Combines, was held at Kadri Lord Manjunatheshwara Temple in the city on Sunday September 6.
JDS leader, Venkatesh Gowda, initiated the shooting for the movie by handling the clapperboard and putting the camera in motion. Thereafter, the 'Hulivesha' performance by Konchadi team was shot.
Giving information about his plans, director of the movie, M D Mithun, said that a five-day shoot for the film has been planned in the city after September 15. He divulged that remaining scenes for the movie will be filmed at Bengaluru, Goa, as well as Mumbai. "The film, based on an incident which happened in the city in 1992, basically centres around college students. We have made certain modifications in the story line to suit its adaptation to silver screen. This film has several curious developments, which I am sure, will attract more audiences," he felt.
Mithun said that he is backed by the experience of having made five short films and six documentaries, adding that this would be his first ever debut into the realm of feature films. "I already have been given an opportunity to direct a movie based on underworld activities, after finishing this one. For better quality, black-magic camera is being used for shooting this movie," he revealed.
Producer of the film, Trisha Bengaluru, Divya Gowda, Shilpa Suvarna, and Priyanka would be acting in the movie as leading ladies. P V R Swamy, who has worked for 'Arimai' Tamil movie and series with 3,000 episodes, will be the cinematographer. Story, script, dialogues and lyrics have been provided by M D Mithun himself. The film will h ave music by Dr Shamita Malnad, with advice and cooperation from Mullakadu Ameen Tailor and Deviprasad from Konchady.
Sandalwood actor, Ramesh Bhat, actress, Abhinaya, Tulu comedians, Aravind Bolar and Manju Rai will don the leading roles in the film which also will have V J Dev, Rahul Ameen, Vinith, Chirag, Sanam G Ameen, Winni Fernandes, Giridhar, Arunchandra, Ranjan Bolar, Sudhakar, Baby Vismaya, G S Tailor, Manohar Patil, Dr Satish Kalemar, Yashoda, Darshan, Sandesh, Jagadish Ameen, Satish Ameen, Vinod Rao and Chitrakshi in different roles.
