Mumbai, Aug 25 (IANS): On-demand streaming platform Ogle has joined hands with Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) winter-festive for live-streaming the event.
Ogle will stream the five-day event and provide video-on-demand of every show, and exclusive back-stage and designer interviews viewable online.
"This association for us redefines the way fashion will be viewed or perceived. This will help Lakmé Fashion Week to be now accessible to an entirely new set of audiences and also see from every point of view - from the model on the runway or celebs on the front row or artists backstage," said Pritish Nandy, chairperson, Ogle Technologies Group in a statement.
Saket Dhankar, vice-president and head - fashion at IMG-Reliance, said that LFW's aim of "democratizing" Indian fashion is in line with Ogle's vision.
"As Lakmé Fashion Week celebrates its 15th year, Ogle will live-stream the entire event -- Our fashion week has one of the largest digital footprints with an active social media community of more than two million followers. Furthering our vision to provide real time showcase and updates, this partnership of five seasons is another step in extending and enhancing front row experience live for all our patrons," he added.
The five-day event will start on Wednesday and conclude on Sunday at the Palladium Hotel here.
