Los Angeles, Aug 25 (IANS): Model Daisy Lowe thinks it can be annoying when she is called "curvy" just because she is not stick-thin like some models.
The 26-year-old model, the daughter of Gavin Rossdale and Pearl Lowe, is proud of her figure but admitted it can get annoying when she is labelled as bigger just because she is not stick-thin like some models, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
"I get labelled as curvy but I'm sure women who are size 14 or 16 find that infuriating. I'm only curvy compared to normal model size; I'm not teeny-weeny. Women are our own worst enemies when it comes to how we look,” she told The Guardian.
However, Lowe, who has modelled for Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Burberry in the past, is not afraid to strip naked for work because she loves to celebrate the female form.
"I have done naked shoots, which means everyone thinks I'm a deviant, but I think the female form is something to be celebrated. The male form, too, but I don't have one of those. I have to become a character to have the confidence to take my clothes off. If I was Daisy, I'd be an awkward nightmare,” she said.
