Bengaluru, Aug 24: The Income Tax Department will be setting up special counters to help the citizens to file the Income Tax returns for this year at Gayatri Vihar hall in the Bengaluru Palace on three days for September 29 to 31.
As part of the programme to educate the individual tax payers, the IT Department organized a seminar on e-filing of tax returns at the CPRI Auditorium in Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru.
The seminar was inaugurated by Dinesh Verma, Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka and Goa Region, who stressed on the increasing role of e-filing and efforts being made by Income Tax Department to reduce taxpayers grievances.
The seminar was attended by senior officers of Income Tax Department, who answered taxpayers’ queries.
The seminar was well attended by taxpayers.
This is for the first time such a seminar for imparting training on e-filing the Income Tax Returns was conducted.
A presentation on e-filing of income tax returns, steps involved, was made by senior officers of CPC, Bangalore.
Nutan Wodeyar, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), Bangalore informed the taxpayers about proposed special counters being setup at Gayatri Vihar, Palace Grounds, Bangalore on 29.8.2015, 30.8.2015 and 31.8.2015.
