Mumbai, Mar 5: Believe it or get aghast, but it is true. A B-grade film is being made on the life and career or Bollywood actress of yesteryears Parveen Babi, allegedly named Parveen Bobby.
The one and only, the original Parveen Babi
Following the footsteps of Mohit Suri’s Shiney-Kangana starrer Woh Lamhe, Parveen Bobby will also depict the tragic life of Parveen Babi. However, those who have come across the posters of Parveen Bobby, consider it as a matter of shame and insult to the actress, as it is a B-grade film.
The posters of the film show a semi-nude actress and are quite appalling. The tagline of the film reads, “It is a story of a girl who sacrificed her career, family, body and even life for true love”. Ravi Ahlawat, producer of Parveen Bobby, said that the film tries to encapsulate how people used Parveen Babi to their own benefit, as a result of which the actor committed suicide.
He refused to divulge much about the film, and also did not comment on the portrayal of the relationship between Parveen Babi and Mahesh Bhatt. Justifying his stance, he said that the audience is already aware of which names he is hinting at.
