Mumbai, Mar 18: Abhishek Kapoor's upcoming movie Fitoor seems to have its lead pair of Katrina Kaif and Aditya Roy Kapoor donning a Pakistani and a Kashmiri garb respectively while veteran actress Rekha plays a begum.
Inspired from Charles Dickens' classic novel 'Great Expectations' the movie has Rekha being the bitter and wealthy Miss Havisham while Katrina plays Estella to Aditya's Pip. Katrina's name in the movie is Firdaus while Aditya's character is called Noor, as they play out a passionate love story that is hurtled to sure doom.
Begum (Rekha) is seen resplendent bridal attire, while Katrina is seen essaying her character in a long flowing gowns. Katrina is also said to have been in a car accident caused because the actress forgot to close the door of the convertible she was driving. As a result she drove it into a wall and despite the loud crash, Aditya was unaware of what had occurred and carried on acting.
Katrina is said to have later commented on the incident saying, “It was a very nice convertible. And can you imagine, the car has hit a wall and Aditya Roy Kapur kept on acting in the shot”. The accident happened on their sets in Delhi. The film has been shot in various scenic locales in North India.
Aditi Rao Hydari and Rahul Bhatt are also said to be part of the ensemble cast that has Lara Dutta and Ajay Devgn doing cameos. The movie is scheduled to hit theatres in the February of 2016.
