I am delighted to be the first one to post my comments on Fr. Anil. Glad to see Fr. Anil, my seminary companion, preaching retreat on the soil of Mangalore. I was lucky to be his room mate in the seminary, sitting in the same class room, being in the same batch for four years and ordained in the same year. We have had wonderful experience of sharing our thoughts and spiritual life in the company of Fr. Anil.
He is a great composer and singer. We sing many hindi hymns composed by him.
We lovingly call him Anil Baba because of his ever smiling face. A few years ago he was down with dengue for so many weeks. The Great God saved him from this to continue the good works he had to continue for His humanity.
Fr. Anil Dev I.M.S. hails from Kerala and works as a missionary in the Religious Congregation of Indian Missionary Society, founded by Rev.Fr.Gasper Pinto of Balkunje Parish in Mangalore.(It was in November 1941 that Fr. Gasper A. Pinto, the founder of the Indian Missionary Society landed in Varanasi. When pressurised by the SVD Missionaries of Indore and the condition of the Church in North India during the Second World War, to found as Indian Missionary Society, he first thought of Varanasi to be its centre. It was his conviction that the sacred work of spreading the light of Christ in north India must begin with and from the religious capital of India, i.e. Varanasi, then known as Benares. The Lord fulfilled his dream by planting the Society in Varanasi itself. Despite the many storms of uncertainty that shook the foundations of the society, the Indian Missionary Society today is comfortably established here with its Generalate, and one of the provincialates and many centres in the vicinity of Varanasi city).

Jai Yesu Fr. Anil. May you live long to spread the life and love of Christ.

Thanks Daijiworld for spreading the Good News through Fr. Anil Dev.
