Moodbidri: Young lecturer, writer, Aditya G Bhat, passes away

Mangaluru, Feb 24: Aditya G Bhat (31), lecturer of political science in Alva's College, Moodbidri, breathed his last on Monday February 23 at his home at native town, Honnavar, due to cardiac arrest. He was also a writer of significance, political anayst, and columnist. His end came when he was staying at his native place in connection with his participation in Alva's Nudisiri Kumta unit's programme, which was held on Sunday. He is survived by parents, wife, and a year-old son.

Bhat was a prolific columnist with over 250 published writings. Two of his works, 'Rajakeeya Dashaavatara' and 'Gandhi Topi, Godse Neralu' have been published, and two more, 'Namo Raaga-Praja Taala' and 'Huttadolagina Maatu', are ready for publication.

Bhat, a gifted orator, had delivered over 200 lecture programmes at national and international levels through Dharwad Akashvani. He had also made appearance in television channels in programmes discussing political developments.

Bhat had secured MA and MPhil degrees in political science and MA in English. He had worked as lecturer for a year in St Aloysius College, Mangaluru and seven years thereafter in Alva's College.

    It is so sad. I had read his article in Hosa Digantha on 19th Feb on Dr David Frawley/Vamadeva Shasthri. It was a very good piece of work. I have been reading his articles for a while now & saw a lot of hope. Really sad on reading this news
