Nail the bridal look

New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS): Every girl hopes to look her best on her D-day, but some, in this pursuit, go overboard with either their make-up or the colour of their dress. To make sure you get your bridal look right, it's vital to keep some points in your mind.

Sushma Khan, head of make-up, Lakme Salon Bridal Dream Team, shares how to look gorgeous on your wedding day:

* Choose the right colour lehenga to complement your skin tone: The key to selecting the right coloured lehenga is to not be a victim of trends. Opt for what suits your skin tone better. Red works better for dusky and wheatish complexions. Pink looks good on women with fair skin tone.

* Wear the right make-up and hair: Make-up in natural hues and a simple hairstyle are good to go. Loosely tousled, side swept hair with light highlights can add that perfect touch to the outfit. Make-up shouldn’t be too loud. Warm, glossy shades for the lips and neutral palettes for the cheeks will do the trick.

* Accessorise well: Wear jewellery that complements your outfit. Wearing contemporary styles with traditional outfits and vice versa is a big faux pas. It is also essential to remember that less is more. Indian brides tend to adorn themselves in jewellery, but let not it not take away from the outfit.
