Bengaluru, Dec 28: The additional chief metropolitan magistrate court has given time till December 31 to officials of criminal investigation department (CID) to file a full-fledged report on medical tests conducted on Sri Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Math relating to rape allegations levelled against him.
On Friday, CID police had submitted two reports of the forensic science laboratory (FSL). The medical test procedure report had not been submitted. On Saturday, deputy director of FSL appeared in the court and sought eight days time for submission of this report.
The court, which adjourned hearing in the case to December 31, extended date for filing this report to December 31. The judge also said that relating to the application filed by the Swamiji asking the court to keep the entire report of the medical test in its safe-keep, he will give his decision that day.
Advocate for the Swamiji had asked the court to get the certified copy of the reports from CID polilce, expressing apprehension that the contents of the reports might be tampered with by them if it remains in the department for a long period.
