Bengaluru, Dec 25: In a special gesture, Archbishop of Bengaluru Dr Bernard Moras extended Christmas greetings to Karnataka Governor VajubhaiRudhabhaiVala by on Christmas Day.
The Archbishop, who is also the President of Karnataka Region Catholic Bishops’ Council (KRCBC) and Karnataka United Christians Forum for Human Rights, met the Governor at Raj Bhavan along with the Bengaluru Archdiocese Public Relations Officer Antonyswamy, who is also the Parish Priest of the St Francis Xavier Cathedral, and Rev Antony George Mahendran, Secretary of the Archbishop.
Archbishop Moras, who extended Christmas greetings to the Governor on behalf of the entire Catholics and Christian community in Karnataka, offered the traditional Christmas cake and also presented a shawl and flowers to the Governor Vala.
Governor Bala thanked the Archbishop and appreciated his gesture of extending Christmas greetings on behalf of the Christian community of Bengaluru and Karnataka.
The Archbishop invited the Governor to attend the annual feast of the famous Infant Jesus Shrine in Viveknagar in Bengaluru in January.
