Udupi, Nov 28: St Mary’s English Medium School, Kannarpady celebrated its annual day in a grand manner on November 27 at School hall, Kannarpady, Udupi.
The chief guest of the programme Sandhya Shetty, Principal, Green Park School, Hiriyadka, said, “The landscape of education is changing. Both children and parents are taught how to face future challenges together. A student should explore himself beyond the confines of the textbook.”
She added that these days there is no time for parents to fulfill their kids' demands. ‘Patience’ is the highest virtue. According to reports, parents should be fulfilling 20% of their children's demands. Each and every day should be planned to gain success. She stressed on how children should be assertive and not aggressive.
Fr Frederick Mascarenhas, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows church, Udupi blessed the gathering and spoke of how parents should help children develop good attitudes and recognize their individual capacities. “The values in society are decreasing day by day. Parents must help their children inculcate moral and spiritual values in their life. Every child is precious before God,” he said.
Thousands of parents and teachers attended this 30th annual day celebration.
The principal of the school Martle Louis presided over the program.
Kindergarten kids were shining in their colorful dresses and costumes. Lower primary(I-IV) students entertained the gathering by dancing and singing in the fun filled cultural program.
Boniface D’souza, the management and staff were also present at this joyous occasion.
