Los Angeles, Nov 15 (IANS): Amid growing uproar over allegations that Bill Cosby sexually assaulted several women, the comedian's upcoming appearance on TV show “Late Show with David Letterman” has been cancelled.
The 77-year-old's representative David Brokaw confirmed that Cosby would not appear in the show Nov 19, reports nypost.com.
The representative did not disclose the reason for the cancellation. The show's representative could not be reached for comment.
This marks Cosby's second cancelled booking as he dropped out of "The Queen Latifah Show" Oct 30, which was characterised by that show as a postponement granted at Cosby’s request.
Barbara Bowman, one of Cosby’s accusers, has recently levelled allegations of sexual assault by the comic in interviews.
Cosby, who was never criminally charged in any of the cases, settled a civil suit in 2006 with another woman over an alleged incident two years before. Cosby has declined to comment on the recent resurgence of allegations.
