Kundapur: A pedestrian died in road accident in Moothamoodi near Hemmadi here on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been indentified as Elcon Olivera (80yrs), resident of Moothamoodi.
He was on the way to Tallur in the morning. While crossing the road, the incident happened. Lorry which was carrying fish from Ratnagiri to Kerala, hit the pedestrian near Mootamoodi.
He was seriously injured and immediately he was taken for medical treatment in Kundapur private hospital. As the injuries were major he was sent to Manipal hospital where he breathed his last.
The deceased is survived by wife and 6 children. Kundapur traffic police registered a case
