Mangalore, Oct 3: Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy observed 'Beary Language Day' in its office here on Friday October 3.

B A Mohammed Hanif, president of the academy presided on this occasion. Sub-editor of 'Sudha Weekly' B M Haneef inaugurated the progarmme.

Sathyanarayana Mallipatna, principal of Mangalore University expressing his views said, "Contribution of the Beary language is really unique."

Mohammed Baddooru, Dr N Ismail principal of Badriya pre-university college, B M Mumthaz Ali of Al-Badriya Education Institution were present on this occasion.

Abdul Aziz Baikampadi, Ibrahim Thaneeru Bhavi, B A Shamshudin Madikeri, Raheem B C Road, Ismail Moodushedde, Hamza Malaar and Mohammed Sharif Nirmunje were honoured for their contribution to the field of Beary literature.

Academy registrar Umarabba welcomed, academy convener Hameed Padubidri compered while Abbas thanked.
