Mangalore, Sep 24: The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) on Saturday opened its micro finance training institute at Falnir here.
N Balasubramanian, chairman and managing director, SIDBI, Lucknow who was the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony said that the purpose of micro financing was to promote on-farm and off-farm economic activity among farmers.
Managerial training to SHGs would help in right channeling of finances, he opined. The training institute will also impart managerial inputs to MFIs and members of self-help groups he added.
