MANGALORE CITY CORPORATION & STATE P.W.D IS COMPLETELY DEAD OR IN COMA. AT LEAST THEY CAN KEEP ROAD IN MINIMUM CONDITION DURING RAINS SLOW DOWN. NO FOOT PATH IN CEMENT ROADS, NO FILL UP OF RODS EDGES FOR EXAMPLE AT NANTHOOR JUNCTION ANY VEHICLE MAY STRUCK BETWEEN ROAD & FOOTPATH BECAUSE OF NO FILL UP IN THE ROAD EDGES. SO ACCIDENTS BECOME COMMON.

It's not a swift car ! But an alto. It's got afternarket tires and rims which don't look to be the right size. It's easy to blame just the truck driver , until you know the actual reason. In our country , the easiest way is to blame poor truck drivers

    Attn:Dinesh Shetty
The delay in constructing this highway is because only in this district the highway is cutting through cities and densely populated regions. How do you expect people to part with their land in the city especially when the compensation given is peanuts and not sufficient to buy alternative housing. Belgaum,Hubli-dharwad, channarayapatna, sakleshpur,Doddaballarpur, navalgund etc. all have bypass roads planned for them, but for our district we have selfish people who want the road to cut through cities so that they can zoom through school, hospital and residential zones at 80kmph. If people observed traffic rules and did not cut lanes or unnecessarily hurry up the situation would have ben different.
I call on the people to press their elected representatives to build a world class highway where big vehicles and small vehicles can move without hindrance and at the same time people and animals are not at risk due to accidents or pollution.

Dear Friend vinit D I dont agree with your opinion of highway passing through dense population and cities..even it passes through..the project has an feasibility report and gazetted notification with approved cabinet node before starting the project and agreed finish date bounded with legal contract..certainly without political patronage any contractor cant stick to 10 years of delay..if so he would have fined heavily and blacklisted..my question is such a important connecting highway is paralysis almost 10 years now..where is the district people/organisation not even questioning any authorities???..I feel this is the verge of foolishness of people. So no option left calling them(including me) GOOD FOR NOTHING

Mangalore police as well as RTO has to give strict instruction to all drivers to keep safe distance irrespective traffic.
those who failed to maintain safe distance between vehicles should pay heavy fine on the spot, same like those who are not wearing helmet too.....
