Mangalore, Jul 25: In yet another case of moral policing, a youth was allegedly assaulted by two persons for being in the company of girls from a different community. The incident took place near Sharavu temple here on Friday July 25.
It is said that a youth identified as Umar Farooq (21) from Kasargod had come to visit the beach in Mangalore, accompanied by two girls who were from a different community. They boarded a train from Kasargod.
On reaching Mangalore, the threesome asked two youths, identified as Naveen Alva (21) and Nitin Kumar (22), for directions to the beach.
