Mangaloe, Jul 14: A person from Amblamogaru Tilaknagar within Konaje police station limits allegedly tried to sexually harass a woman living in his neighbourhood.
The accused, who is said to have stealthily gained entry into the house of a woman living nearby early morning on Monday July 14, and tried without success to sexually exploit her, has been arrested by the Konaje police.
Satish (25), who lives near the house of the couple, illegally entered the woman's house, in a bid to make use of the opportunity provided by the absence of her husband, who had been away to offer Namaz at the mosque. Satish is said to have spoken obscene words with her, before behaving in a wrongful manner.
The lady shouted for help, at which some locals came running. Sensing trouble, Satish ran away from there, it is said. The woman's husband, who came home later, filed a complaint in Konaje police station, after which the policemen visited Satish's house and arrested him.
The family members of Satish allege that the woman has falsely charged Satish of misbehaviour with the explicit intention of fixing him in court case. They said that the two families had quarrelled on Sunday evening on some issue, during which Satish had assaulted the woman, and that this complaint is based on that incident.
