Udupi, Jul 1: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) held a meeting on Monday June 30 at Vajpayee Auditorium, Rajathadri.
A total of 30 KSRTC buses have been released to Udupi city under the NARMA scheme. Private bus owners expressed their objection about the releasing of new buses and stressed the need for conducting a route survey.
Rajesh, defense lawyer of KSRTC, said that it was not essential. After a long discussion held between the private bus owners, lawyers and KSRTC institutions, the DC gave the verdict that he would take further steps and soon after the route survey, in the next meeting, he would finalize the status of the remaining applications.
